The Water Well
Water
the source of life
the dry summers
the dying plants
the garden and the chickens
all yearn for a drop of water
but it never rains
the Etruscan Gods are still sleeping in the ancient temples,
in the mud of the sacred waters.
Far under the ancient volcanic hills the waters stream
When we lay down in the meadows we can hear
the song of the water
our prayers
our desires are all locked up waiting to be freed, to fulfill our dreams.
